One can visit the Angel Falls, one the highest waterfalls in the country followed by a trip to the El Ávila National Park to spot indigenous flora and fauna. venezuela also has a water based amusement park which is called· Dunas Water Park or Parque Dunas and has many interesting rides and activities to engage visitors. The Arepas is the most typical Venezuelan food, it is actually a corn based bread and can be had by itself or with a side dish.  Venezuela’s national dish is Pabellón criollo which consists of juicy pulled beef, black beans, white rice and fried plantain and is served with multiple toppings of your choice such as grated cheese, jalapenos or avocadoes. Hallacas is a corn dough wrapped in plantain, filled with stuffing “guiso” which is made from beef, olives, pork, capers and assorted vegetables before being cooked in boiling water. Tequeños is another very popular snack in Venezuela and are pastried cheese sticks with a salty crust.

The Basilica Nuestra Senora Del Valle is a nice, quaint and tidy little church that has great historic value. The Paseo Los Próceres is another historic monument located near Fort Tiuna which is dedicated to the heroic exploits of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army. Cathedral of Merida is a colonial Spanish relic which is a living testimony to the glorious heights of architecture during the Spanish colonial rule. In sharp contrast to the vastness and sheer profundity of the Spanish Cathedral, St martins’ Church is a quaint German style church which is also a relic in Venezuela.
